Fantastic restaurant. Celebrated my 50th and didn’t disappoint. Great service, great food and nice place to eat. Would highly recommend. A firm favourite over the years of dining here.

Went for lunch with 2 of my best friends and this was not the first time I ate here. However, this place gets better and better with time . The soft warm bread with the cultured butter and the mini appetisers were incredible; then came the mackerel, which was smoked and served with grapes, and a cucumber sauce: it was beautifully presented, and delicious too. Then I had the hake, and it came with tender stem broccoli and a sauce with petit pois and almonds. It was very delicate and the hake was perfectly cooked . My friend had the pork loin and that was also divine . We finished with the strawberry souffle and the lemon tart, both extremely good. We had a very nice white wine that accompanied the food beautifully, but I do not remember the name. I ended my meal with limoncello and we were all very happy. The service is fantastic, the place is glamorous and the food is incredible. A must if you go to Brighton !

For the second consecutive year, my wife and I have returned here for a celebration meal. The tasting menu and paired wines are excellent and a real exploration of flavours and textures. As with any tasting menu at a reputable establishment, it's not necessarily cheap, but in my mind, a worthy treat. Food, presentation, and service, all excellent! Well done guys .

I had the best night at The Gingerman and now consider it one of the best dining experiences in Brighton. The food was to die for. Though not cheap (except a ridiculously good value prawn to start), it is well worth a visit on a special occasion. The staff and service and ambience created an unforgettable evening that will be difficult to replicate. To start I had snacks salmon tacos and a grilled prawn. Despite the salmon tacos being delicious, the prawn stole the show, being meaty and sweet, and for 3.50 with the seaweed Alioli, I cannot complain. For starters, the bbq squid was the best looking dish of the night, stunning, with perfectly cooked squid, a sauce maybe a touch too sweet, but interesting textures and bold flavours. For mains, the lamb saddle could’ve been cut with a butter knife, paired with some simple but lovely veg, a jus made from the belly and some majorly crispy 100-layer chips, and you’re on to a real winner. The puddings were also solid, and a great way to end a great meal!

Simply put, everything was perfect; wonderful food (hard to pick a favourite amongst a number of top highlights, but perhaps the octopus) great service (hitting that perfect mix of professionalism and warmth) and a lovely atmosphere, new favourite restaurant in Brighton, we will be back. Thank you

Best Sunday roast ever. The attention to detail to each element of the dish is impeccable, from the potatoes to the veggies to the sauce. Highly recommend.

Was a small but perfectly laid out restaurant. The service and staff were amazing. We opted for the taster menu with the wine to enhance the experience. This really did not disappoint as each dish surpassed the expectations of the last. Well worth the price tag for the sublime experience. My compliments to the chefs and front room staff. Ps the cocktails where also really good and worth a go.

We were kindly invited to try their Sunday lunch. It did not disappoint! It was off the charts. Every mouthful brought sounds of ‘ooos and ars’ - if you haven’t tried it then please do. Every dish was quite spectacular And every element on the plate was a masterpiece ..... An exceptional Sunday Roast and reasonably priced. You simply must do a Sunday here!
